Today was a spectacular day at the Sierra Chincua Sanctuary. We rode our
horses over an hour up into the mountain until we came to the colony. It was chilly for the butterflies so they spent much
of their time huddled in the trees. But when the sun came out they cascaded down through the forest. It looked like butterfly
snow!
My horses name was Fiona and our guides name was Roberto. We met a little
boy at the colony named Marcos Antonio. He sang us a song that his Abuelita taught him about butterflies. Miss Liz has a video
of the song.I'll share the video with you soon.Francisco, who protects the butterflies
and the forest also sang us a song while playing a guitar! Our day was magical!
