Today we visited the Miguel Hidalgo school in Santa Fe.
This is a school that is located on the shore of beautiful Lake Patzcuaro.
This is a bilingual school where the children learn to speak spanish and the  P'urhépecha language which is still spoken by more than 100,000 people in Michoacán.

This was a wonderful day for me. I loved visiting with the children as much as the butterflies. Maybe it is because you remind me of butterflies.  Even though you are small and seemingly fragile, you are strong and capable of so much!

I wish you could have met these children who are so much like you . You all would have had such fun racing in the sunshine!

We had to walk up a steep hill to reach the school.
