Miss Faith

I received my degree from Bergen Community College in Early Childhood Education. Since graduating, I have worked in both preschool and special education classrooms.

            In my spare time, I enjoy reading, going to concerts, spending time with family and friends. I currently live at home with my my dog Chuck.

            I look forward to the new year with excitement. I am sure that it will be filled with a lot of fun learning experiences.

Miss Humeyra (AKA Miss Myra)

I received my degree in Early Childhood Education from Bergen Community College in May 2007.

This is my very first professional experience in the field. I have done my field work in another Early Childhood learning facility.

I have volunteered, in after schools programs at Pioneer Academy of Science and thought teenagers at Saturday school for two years.

My hobbies are, reading, skiing; ice skating, horse back riding, water (lake, beach, and rivers) and spending time with friends and family.

I currently live with my nuclear family (mother, father and brother and cat Efe).

I think teaching young ones is a big responsibility, but knowing you are a part of raising the future makes me very happy!

Nurturing a Love of Learning

We respect each child. We value their ideas. We strive to provide an environment that is rich in opportunities for children to develop self esteem, language skills, independence, physical development, creativity, cultural understanding and a sense of place and community.

Guiding Poem:

If …

If I can

ask my own questions,
try out my ideas,
experience what’s around me,
share what I find;

If I have

plenty of time for
my special pace,
a nourishing space,
things to transform;

If you’ll be

my patient friend,
trusted guide,
fellow investigator,
partner in learning

Then I will

explore the world,
discover my voice,

and tell you what I know
in a hundred languages
